Jason Wayo, the North Port man who led authorities on a chase through multiple jurisdictions and is accused of committing a number of burglaries and car thefts before holing up in a house creating a three-hour standoff Saturday, now faces additional charges of burglary, robbery and thefts Sarasota County Sheriff’s officials believe he committed Feb. 4.

According to three separate — and largely blacked out — SCSO reports, Wayo, 34, of the 400 block of New Pond Court, North Port, first entered a home on the 1200 block of Sunset Ave. in Nokomis at 10:40 p.m. Feb. 4 and demanded car keys from a 45-year-old woman, telling her, “I’m not gonna hurt you, I just want the keys to your car.” However the woman’s daughter began yelling at Wayo and chased him out the door.
