PUNTA GORDA — Citing a need to “restore integrity” to the Charlotte County Elections Supervisor’s Office, longtime former county commissioner Adam Cummings announced his candidacy for the office Tuesday.

Cummings pointed out that in the event elections are so close “people are counting chads” it’s important people have trust that the elections supervisor is impartial.
