ARCADIA — St. Edmund’s Episcopal Church is the first local church to donate to Arcadia-DeSoto County Habitat for Humanity’s Faith Build project, to help a family in need have a home of their own.
A Faith Build is a project were many churches come together to acknowledge faith in one God. They acknowledge there are families in our community who deserve a simple, decent and healthy home in which to live and grow. And they agree that the way to help these families is by partnering with both people and resources to put our “Faith in Action” through the local Habitat for Humanity program. Each church can make its own commitment of time, talent and treasure over the next year. Volunteer workers will be needed. Prayer warriors will be appreciated. Lunch ladies can help feed the volunteers. Youth are great painters and sod layers. Just about everyone can help.
